About Us
Built for the homeowner having the worst week of the year
Restoration Network exists because the moment property damage happens is the worst possible moment to start researching contractors.
Our mission
When a pipe bursts at midnight or a storm opens up a roof, homeowners are handed a phone and a search engine full of ads. Our mission is simple: replace that guesswork with a single free connection to an independent restoration professional in our network who works in your part of Northern New Jersey.
Our role: homeowner advocate, not contractor
We do not perform restoration work, and we never will. That distinction matters. Because we do not sell the work, we have no reason to encourage a larger scope, a longer dry-out, or an unnecessary tear-out. Our value to you depends entirely on connecting you with a company that treats you well.
Practically, being a homeowner advocate means we do a few specific things:
- We explain what usually happens next, in plain language, before you commit to anything.
- We share practical steps for documenting damage safely.
- We tell you honestly when we do not have a provider in our network covering your ZIP code.
- We consider homeowner feedback when reviewing continued network participation.
How we evaluate companies
We evaluate companies based on factors such as service area, experience, reputation, responsiveness, and restoration capabilities. That review may include:
- Business information: an established local restoration business with information we can review.
- Insurance information: documentation supplied by the company about general liability coverage and workers' compensation where applicable.
- Licensing and registration: information relevant to the work the company says it performs in New Jersey.
- Capability: the equipment, training, and protocols appropriate to the damage categories they accept, including contaminated water and mold containment.
- Coverage: the towns and ZIP codes they genuinely service.
- Responsiveness: how the company handles referral communications.
- Reputation and feedback: available reputation information and feedback shared by homeowners.
Vetting is a screening process, not a guarantee. Each company remains an independent business, solely responsible for its own licensing, insurance, pricing, workmanship, and results. Always confirm credentials and get your agreement in writing before work begins.
Where we work
We deliberately stay regional: Sussex, Morris, Passaic, and Warren counties in Northern New Jersey. Local focus is what lets us know which companies show up when a storm hits four towns at once.
Restoration Network is a free referral and connection service, not a restoration contractor. We do not perform restoration, remediation, or repair work. All work is performed by independent local companies that are solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, pricing, workmanship, and results.
